kinda looses the beat.

i do not understand the point of the accents, being so loud, and you might want to try using a metronome (a flashing light version so you can see it, and we don't hear it.

this could be a better song, with it staying on beat.

also, if this is you "first submission" what is the other one that you submitted a month ago?!?!

CharlieRisingMoon responds:

I thought that submission didn't go through but it did so it really isn't. sorry for the confusion and thanks for the review

good groove, except...

there seems to be a slight discrepancy in the timings.
the groove, and drums, don't jive right...and by just a tiny amount.

other wise great loop

funny

good funny song.

and the music itself is perfect for the style.

i can't beleive it took this long to get a review.

No time to leave a review..Gotta rush to play battlefield 2 online with 13 year olds.

this review is based on you respnses to other's

this is not a real piano. there are no sympathetic rings (other stings than one s you are playing vibrating, due to the fact that they are all in the same instrument). this could perhaps be a keyboard, but not a piano.

and interestingly..it is exactly the same as a midi i downloaded a long time ago..same speed, same flaws, same notes, same errors.

so it is either a midi (like other's in your work) or you are a machine. there is absolutely no feeling, no ephasis nothing. every note is hit the exact same way, same strength.

i could upload the exact some song, with a different sound to the piano (because a: i do not have your sound font, and b. to prove that it is different) if you need. or you could quit acting like a child and expecting us to believe the falsities you spout.

it is a good song, but by just uploading a simple midi, with one simple sticcatto piano soundfont for everything, you have lessened the song into a child's piece.

there needs to be feeling, flow and emotion in this song...heck the original from the game had more humanity, and it was a computer.

you will always get a high score for uploading a FF7 song, i have proved that (i uploaded many, but it is not based on the work, but more the subject matter.

if you did somehow did play this (especially if you look at the 3/4 point..the fact you need to be in 3 registers at the same time....and that would be impossible, unless you have a 14" handspan) that i feel sorry for you, becaseu you lack a key component in music.......passion.

if it is in fact a midi...then you still have no passion.

that sounds great

didn't hear the first version, but i see no midi sounds here.

sounds good, and video gamish..except whoah is there ever some really loud drum hits, that are way louder than the rest of the song.

good tune 5/5 9/10

Gorekiller responds:

Yeah, the snare' rolls are way too loud... I don't know how, but I've managed to fix this problem. Thanks for the review, pal !

aaaggghhh!! i can't stop it!!

it is good, i can't seem to bring myself to stop the song..i just wanna keep listening..

good, but you are right....

the dance is better..
there are some nice "broken" sounding elements i really enjoy in this version though.

good drum work

ah, i love when you release new stuff.

well the drum work is great...except i am not a fan of some of the muted cymbal crashes...and the chorus that comes in the right ear...is alittle..too panned..thow a faint echo (like 2ms delay, and 20-30% volume) in the left ear, and this would be great.

there is just enough variance to make the drums sound like a fill the whole time, but enough repittion to make it feel like a true beat....good balance.

oh, yeah..

this was definitely worth completing..
5 and 10'ed

good work.

good use of classic elements..

and it has a good beat. many of the sounds are nice, and smooth with just enough edge to give a punch.

personally, i would left some of the occasional voice parts out, like when the guy talks. the vocoder stuff was a keeper though.
and some of the levels are off IMO, some things are a tiny bit too loud, others are a little too soft.

the kick just sounds....too muffled..like it is in another room. and it sometimes disappears all together, when you know it is supposed to be there.

perhaps you had your sub turned up the whole way when you were listening to it, where as i (when reviewing) listen with straight, eq'ed headphones, to hear the true vision of a song.

good stuff though.

ToyRobotMusic responds:

Thanks for the review. I understand what your saying about the kick. I think there is too much reverb on the kick, which is why it sounds like it's in another room. The whole tracks' reverb in general needs to be fixed. I'll probably just drop this track, and start on a new one.

For every mistake you make, remember that you have just eliminated another possibility, and come that much closer to the goal.
